About Leah LOVES Virginia

Hi, my name is Leah, and I have lived in Virginia my entire life. I grew up on the Eastern Shore, I went to college in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains (go Highlanders!), and I now live west of Richmond. 

Some might say given where I’ve lived that I ‘know Virginia’, but I actually don’t. I could blame it on a number of things and if I’m honest, it’s for two main reasons – (1) I’m not an adventurous person, and (2) I am always habitually lost. Not to mention my finances haven’t always allowed me to ‘get out there and explore’.

Recently, I made the decision to leave my job after 20+ years to focus more on my family (I have an amazing husband and two awesome sons), so my schedule has opened a bit. I’ve also always had a thing for the Virginia LOVE signs, the beautiful and artistically large love letters you find all over the state. 

So I asked myself…

”Could visiting Virginia Lovework signs get me out of my comfort zone and help me learn the state better?” 

That’s what this website and blog will be all about. Sharing my adventures and learnings so that anyone – travel anxiety proned and directionally challenged – can find someplace they LOVE in Virginia.
